COLLEGE/CAREER COUNSELING -  Transcript Release Form

Welcome to the College Planning section of the St. Francis Guidance and Counseling Department website. College planning and selection has never been so important, yet also so complex. Planning for four years of college presents a huge personal and financial investment for both student and parents. Don’t be overwhelmed! St. Francis is here to help you every step of the way. Mrs. Trudy Rigney, Director of Guidance and College Counselor, will be more than happy to answer any of your college and financial aid questions. You can reach her on any school day at extension 105. Mrs. Rigney will meet with all juniors, primarily during the second semester, to help them jump start their college search. She will follow up with the seniors as they process their applications during the first semester and make their college selections during the second semester.

As you assist your child with the college planning process, take advantage of the resources available on our website. Start by reading our monthly Guidance Department Newsletter. The newsletter is designed to keep parents abreast of information programs, key dates and deadlines, recent trends, and important changes that may impact the college planning process. We also publish a Weekly College Bulletin that is also posted in junior and senior homerooms. The Weekly Bulletin keeps students and parents abreast of college visits, college information programs in the area, and scholarship announcements. We have many other tools posted on our website to help students and parents in the college planning process. Check out our College Comparison Chart which provides key facts on some of the most popular colleges in the Midwest. In the College Planning Guide you will find a Timeline for College Planning and Procedures for Processing the College Application. Click on the Websites for College Information and you will find links to some of the best college information on the internet. Do you need to know dates for ACT or SAT testing or AP exams? Just click on Testing Information or Guidance Dates and Deadlines. Are you researching scholarship options? We provide an extensive list of corporate and civic scholarship offerings. Important forms such as the Transcript Release Form and the Student Request for a Teacher Recommendation can also be downloaded from our web page.

College and financial aid planning takes a great deal of work, but we hope our web-based resources will make your job just a little bit easier.
