GENERAL COLLEGE INFORMATION

    • College Visits – organized college tours – for a complete list of tours go to www.college-visits.com
    • Kaplan Test Prep Spring Schedule - for classes to prepare for ACT and SAT - available at kaptest.com.
    • St. Mary’s College in South Bend –Application fee waived. Go to www.saintmarys.edu/considering, under “Reasons for Applying” write Alumna ID number D00007218. To apply with paper application contact Cathleen Norton 630-469-9693.
    • Anti – Cruelty Society in partnership with University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine- offering “Veterinary Mentoring Program “ Sept.2009 – April 2009. Attend seminars one Saturday a month at the Anti – Cruelty Society in downtown Chicago. Inquire about qualifications and pick up application in Guidance.
    • PennState Informational Programs - May 11 7:30 – 9:00 @ Marriott Deerfield Suites & May 12 7:30 – 9:00 @ Marriott Downers Grove

  • AES Engineers - $500 – submit essay in answer to one of two questions at www.aesengineers.com/scholarships.php by Sept. 15, 2008.
  • American legion Auxiliary – Perrottet-Nickerson Unit 76 – Ada Mucklestone Memorial Scholarship – for seniors that are children or grandchildren of veterans. Pick up information and application in Guidance office. Due May 10.
  • BigSun Athletic Scholarship - $500.00 – For all senior athletes regardless of sport. Visit www.bigsunathletics.com for information. Due June 20.
  • College ofDuPage – 2008 Academic Excellence Scholarship – Full Tuition Scholarship - 3.5 GPA or ACT of 25 or higher . May 1 Deadline.
  • DuPage Chiefs of Police Assoc. – Chief Joseph Buenrostro Scholarship - $1000 available to DuPage residents pursuing Criminal Justice. Applications in Guidance. Deadline May 11.
  • Fran Center Robert Cleveland and Kenneth Dodge Memorial Scholarship for students with Learning Disabilities. Award amount is $500. Deadline May 1. Application available in Guidance. .
  • Marianjoy (Bruce A. Schurman) Scholarship – for students with disabilities. Pick up application in Guidance.
  • Nordstrom Scholarship Award program offers scholarships to high school juniors. Applications available in Nordstrom stores. Deadline May 31.
  • SAE International engineering Scholarships – applications must be postmarked by Dec. 1, 2008. For more Information go to www.sae.org/students/engschlr.htm.
  • University of IllinoisPsi Upsilon Scholarship Grant - for male seniors who exhibit the highest moral, intellectual and social excellence. No obligation to join Psi Upsilon.   • American Cancer Society - Illinois Division’s SummerHigh School Research Program - 8 week program doing cancer research – interact with multiple cancer researcher in Illinois – Application in Guidance office.
  • Boston University – Offer 2 programs – 2008 High School Honors program (for Juniors only) or 2 – week summer Challenge Program for sophomores, juniors and seniors. Go to www.bu.edu/summer/highschool for more info.
  • CarnegieMellonPre-College Program – For Juniors and Seniors – 6 week session -Variety of subjects including video game development and fine arts. Go to www.cmu.edu/enrollment/pre-college for more details.
