Open House Events:
As you know, in making an important decision like choosing a school, the more information you have the more informed decision your family will be able to make. At St. Francis we offer a variety of different formats for students and parents to get to know who we are and what we do. For starters, we offer an Open House on Sunday, October 14, 2011 (program begins at 11a.m.) and Wednesday, November 14, 2011 (program begins at 6 p.m.). The Open House is geared toward middle school students of all faiths, particularly those currently enrolled in 7th or 8th grade. Faculty members will be present during the Open House. All are invited to come!
St. Francis is located at 2130 West Roosevelt Road in Wheaton. For more information, please call Dan Tuskey at (630) 668-5800 ext. 1120 or email at dtuskey@sfhsnet.org.
SHADOW DAYS:
One-on-One Shadowing Program For Prospective Students
The Shadow program enables prospective students to follow current students through a typical school day at St. Francis. The Shadow program is in the fall for 8th grade students and prospective transfer students. We offer the Shadow program to 7th grade students and prospective transfer students in the spring. (Note: Prospective transfer students must have submitted unofficial transcripts in advance of setting up a Shadow date.) You have three options for registering your student for a shadow day. First, you can click on the link above and complete the online registration. Second, you can click on the shadow form above to download, fill out, and send in your registration. The third option is by phone: call Mr. Dan Tuskey at 630-668-5800 x 1120 and he will register you for your shadow day over the phone.
This is a very important step in your student’s investigation of Catholic High Schools. The shadow experience will be the only time for the student to really get a feel for the environment they will be studying in at their new school. It is highly recommended that all students with interest in St. Francis High School visit us for a shadow day. We promise a fun, educational, and inclusive experience for your student that day.
The following are some general guidelines for the day:
- Dress for success. That means wear your Sunday best.
But please, no jeans, sweats or T-shirts.
- Bring a book.
- The day begins at 7:30 am and ends at 2:30pm. You will be greeted by host students at door #4. You must have a ride prearranged.
- Please enter Door #4, student ambassadors will be there to greet you even before you enter the building.
