MENTORS

The Mentor Program

Moderators: Lauren Ladley and Elizabeth Brand

Upperclassmen helping with the learning curve!

Who: Students must be a Sophomore, Junior, or Senior to participate.

What: Students help mentor freshmen who are new to the school by making them feel welcome at St. Francis!

How: Students are asked at the end of the year to complete a form with their name and address if they would like to participate in the Mentor Program for the next school year. Students are chosen randomly to participate and contacted through mail at the end of summer.

When: Students check in during summer registration to pay five dollars for the program and pick up an activity sheet. They must participate in all the activities listed which include making a welcome sign, bring a greeting card, creating a treat bag, participating in twin day, giving advice for finals, and giving a tour of the school. All of the activities take place at the beginning of the school year during the months of August and September. There is one activity that is completed before finals in December.
