Title:
DIRECTOR OF GUIDANCE, COLLEGE COUNSELOR
Trudy Rigney loves the family atmosphere, the community spirit and the
spiritual life. St. Francis is her home away from home. She has a strong
connection with
the Spartan community because both her children have attended St. Francis. Her
daughter Meg, class of ’03, currently attends the University of Dayton
along with her son Dan who graduated with the class of ’05.
Trudy enjoys sports. She follows the cross country, track, and soccer
teams at
St. Francis because of her children’s involvement in those sports. She
also coached volleyball for four years until 1985 but had to quit when Meg was
born, but she still follows the volleyball teams’ success. In her spare
time, Mrs. Rigney enjoys reading and spending time with her husband Kevin. She
and Kevin have been married for 23 years. They met while both working at St.
Francis in 1978. They were then married in 1980 and actually held their reception
in the St. Francis Slant Dome gym. Her husband currently teaches at St. Ignatius
in Chicago, and they both remain committed to Catholic education. Mrs. Rigney
also enjoys working with students and helping them make choices for their future
and college plans.
Mrs. Rigney is an active member in her parish at St. Pius X by helping
prepare couples for marriage. With any questions call ext105 or visit
the SF guidance
page.Mrs. Rigney invites graduates to email her with feedback on their colleges
and to let her know if they are happy with their college choices.
