WELCOME BACK!!! OH, sorry, school has not officially started but in a few short weeks, these words will become reality. So I am just going to take a few minutes of your time to give you a little insight as to what exciting things the PO is planning for the new school year. We have all been busy making sure that the 2007-2008 school year is filled with some great events. We are very excited about this year’s major fundraiser “TAKE YOUR CHANCES FOR ST. FRANCIS” (a casino night/auction) which will be held on Saturday, March 15th at the new Westin Hotel in Lombard . It should be an enjoyable evening!

During the month of July, everyone should have received their volunteer sign up sheet and a “Save the Date” magnet. A few of these events are coming up soon:

New Parents Brunch/Mass – Sunday, August 12th
SAA Golf Outing – Tuesday, August 21st
ComedaySportz – Parents Social – Saturday, Sept. 8th
SAA 5K Run – Sunday, Sept. 16th

Please try to attend these – it is a great way to meet new families and make great friends!!!

I would like to remind all of you that we are all a part of the St. Francis Parents’ Organization and I encourage you to get involved. Therefore, if you have not already done so, please complete your volunteer sign-up sheet and return it ASAP.

Come for an hour ... stay for the day...

You don't have to be a professional to participate. We will be painting, mulching, raking, repairing and cleaning, etc. Bring wheelbarrels, pruners, shovels, rakes, gloves, weed wackers, and any other tools that might be helpful.

The day will also include a cookout! Don't miss this great bonding opportunity!
